GIRLS – Lust for Life 7″ (true panther sounds) – I have mentioned this before: True Panther Sounds is a new boutique label from Matador Records; they have music from Hunx & His Punx and Lemonade coming out. KURT VILE – He’s Alright 7″ (matador) – “Philly’s constant hitmaker’s” debut single for Matador Records. Features 3 tracks on light blue vinyl. Free with pre-order of Childish Prodigy from Matador.
WATER FALLS – Sleep Experts (self) – CDr from Dallas experimental outfit, featuring members of The Theater Fire and Eyes, Wings and Many Other Things. Seven somber songs supply an atmospheric background for an East Asian trance in a span of 45 minutes. I wish the songs had bled together, otherwise this is worth checking out. Will be released on colored vinyl by Mis Ojos Discos in February.
