KURT VILE – Constant Hitmaker (gulcher) – Kurt Vile’s, aka “Philly’s Constant Hitmaker”, collection of home ‘folk pop psyche’ recordings. He has a prior release on Kemado’s Mexican Summer label, which sees a reissue today (8/10)/09) and the upcoming, Childish Prodigy on Oct 6th through Matador. “Overnite Religion” mp3 courtesy of Matador. JULIAN PLENTI – Julian Plenti is … Skyscraper (matador) New solo project by Paul Banks of Interpol. Mp3 of “Fun That We Have” via Matador. Supposedly if you register on the Julian Plenti website, you will receive four mp3s; I never looked to verify.
SHITS And GIGGLES – Trick or Treat 12” (fdafits) – First release by Dallas label, Free Dope and Fucking In The Streets. Collaborative seven song LP featuring Ariel Pink and Vas Deferens Organization. Recorded at Klearlight Studios in Garland, TX. Contributions by Dennis and-or Aaron Gonzalez on four songs. 180gram, limited to 500 copies. Look for a feature in a future issue of WIRE.
