No fairy tale here folks. No love story to be told. Tweak Bird is two brothers in LA from Southern Illinois who just love to turn up and jam. Baritone guitar properly fuzzed, and an oversized drum kit passed down from the Melvins’ Dale Crover make up the meatloaf, and the smooth yet broken tandem vocals drizzle the ketchup on top. Is it Filet Mignon? Nope! But who eat’s that shit anyway? Its heavy rock with lite vocals. …are you getting this yet? Live shows are fun because you get the feeling that the hinges could come off at any moment. …and guess what? Sometimes it happens, and it’s a total disaster, but, it’s still more entertainment than a lame ass beep beep boop robot show. Plus Tweak Bird’s not famous so you probably won’t pay more than 10 bucks to seem them. Done deal.
Since 2008, the Bird brothers have released two full-length studio albums and two EP’s. The band has also done some heavy touring in the last 5 years headlining in the US and in Europe as well as supporting tours with some slick acts like Tool, Melvins, Big Business, Black Mountain and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists.
