An almost weekly assortment of musical oddities purchased or given to POF.
BIRDS Of AVALON – Outer Upper Inner ep (volcom) – Mmm, stoner rock… mmm good. I dug Birds of Avalon’s new album, Uncanny Valley (volcom) so much, that I decided to pick up this ep from 2008. Look for them to tour in late September.
COUGHS – Secret Passage (load) – Noise rock, what else does LOAD put out?
DUNGEN – Tio Bitar (kemado) – Their newest album, 4, is out now. They will be playing at the Loft with WOODS on 8/22.
KING KHAN & The SHRINES – The Supreme Genius of (vice)
MINI and the BEAR – S/T ep (self) – New metal duo from the whimsical dance party of Top Secret Robot Alliance and 1/4th of Giggle Party.
MODEY LEMON – Season of Sweets (birdman) – I wasn’t aware that this came out yet. Pittsburgh trio’s full-length follow-up to The Birth of Jazz ep (birdman).
PHOENIX – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (glassnote) – French pop music that people seem to be creaming over lately. It’s good if you have a heart, or a girlfriend; other than that, people will question your masculinity.
TRASH TALK – East of Eden 7″ (ttcollective) – Fourth release from Trash Talk comes in the format of a single-sided 70g seven inch record with three different inserts pressed in a run of 250 (people), 450 (physical) and 328 (dead daisy) for the first pressing.
