The year of our Lord Two Thousand Twelve comes to a close next week with our first New Year’s Eve show featuring BIG FREEDIA and more! I hope to see all my friends there. Holla at me if times are tough and you still want to go.
First of all, thank you to everyone who comes to shows and supports what we do. This was fairly evident by all the wonderful press we’ve received this year and surprisingly winning “Best Talent Buyer” in the 2012 Dallas Observer Music Awards in November; that will definitely be added to my email signature. 2012 was amazing, yet extremely tough since Parade of Flesh isn’t my full time gig but feels like it sometimes. Thanks to Christine and Patrick for their help this year on promotion and production. Our overall attendance per show was the highest we’ve had since our inception, which is crucial to bringing more quality acts through town. By coming to our shows, you prove to bands, agents and managers that Dallas is “worth” stopping for on tour.
Now 2013, next year, next week… We will continue to bring you quality concerts and hopefully the forthcoming SPILLOVER will encourage us to do more special events throughout the year. We are currently looking for help all year for video archiving, day of show promo and even sponsorship for selected events, please inquire via email paradeof@paradeofflesh.com
